Steranko is one of England’s live scene’s most intriguing, interesting and entertaining act, and all for the right reasons.
After must-have debut LP ‘Culturephrenia’, Steranko are now presenting to the world, material from forthcoming album ‘Keepers Of The Fallo’, a small slice at a time, always exiting the stage managing to leave you wanting more.
With this South-London quartet fronted by singer Lee Mangan, [Chris Cole on guitar, Lee Elvey on bass and John ‘JB’ Barrett drumming] what you see is what you get. What you hear you will love.
Even as a first time listener you will want and need more of their no-nonsense, hard hitting, straight to the point quality post-Punk Rock.
Entertainment is mainly provided by Mr Mangan, good looking love child of Iggy Pop, Mick Jagger and Rasputin [no no don’t try and work it out], a respected artist in his spare time.

Within seconds of those amps vibrating you will voluntarily or not, find yourself body rocking, foot tapping to the intoxicating tunes.
More importantly and because not provided on the records, you will be in awe of Lee’s live performance.
Each number is for him an opportunity to interact with the crowd, the furniture or the walls!
Quite amazing but nothing for you to try at home....

Always done with great humour, you will be dragged to the front of the crowd, ordered to dance or simply cursed at appropriate times, somehow making you feel part of the show!
Never mind how outrageous or wild his antics get, there no escaping Lee’s bigger-than-life personality and talent.
There is no avoiding his contagious zest for life.
Quite admirable is his band mates nonchalant attitude. Clearly they’ve seen is all before and one more explosive performance by their ceiling dangling leader is all in a day’s work.

Tonight we are treated to ‘Pretty Pretty Violet’, ‘High Class Liberties’, ‘Queen Of The Karaoke Bar’, ‘Modern Metallic Mistake’ and, if my opinion matters to anyone, what should be a single ‘Bang Bang Dirty Dirty’, and you just know that soon to be released ‘Keepers Of The Fallo’ will be another indispensable addition to your records collection.

However nothing will make-up from catching Steranko live as they are truly unique and a rocking great time is to be had.
