The sun is shining, the birds are singing and yes, spring has sprang...
Apparently we’ve had the warmest winter since 1880 and it’s also promising to be a record breaking spring!
What I also know is that rain or shine rockers keep on rocking and there is always something interesting and exciting to check out and report.

This issue is all about UK grown talent with interviews and reviews such as MetroRiots playing Portsmouth, Death In Vegas’ Tim Holmes and visual artist Lee Mangan, both met in their studios.
However we couldn’t ignore the large number of English bands, some more established than others, temporarily invading Paris, hence our French reviews of The Automatic, The Pigeon Detectives, The Rakes and Littl’ans with an added bonus from The Rakes, an interview in English!

However flying the flag for the States are Kings Of Leon and Juliette And The Licks which were just too good to miss!

We also have some videos for you to enjoy!

Tim Holmes / Death In Vegas
London - 20.04.2007

There are some bands you are a fan of, you buy their albums, you go and see them live... and there are some bands whose music, through the media of radio, commercials and movies, has impregnated your psyche...

Matt Swinnerton / The Rakes
Paris - Élysée Montmartre - 21.04.2007

Amid the spring time heatwave I dive into the cool Élysee Montmartre... however it's guitarist Matthew Swinnerton who comes to get me. "Is it about an interview? Please come with me."...

Lee Mangan
London - 21.04.2007

‘THE ECHOES OF DISOBEDIENCE’
Today London tomorrow Los Angeles...
I am talking about south Londoner Lee Mangan’s art exhibition....

Kings of Leon
London - XFM Live Session - 11.04.2007

The 100 Club has a capacity of 300 and is certainly not the kind of venue where you would expect to see one of Tennessee’s finest...

The Automatics
Paris - Le Trabendo - 18.04.2007

The Automatic est un groupe étonnant, à plusieurs titres, et au bon sens du terme...

The Pigeon Detectives
Paris - La Maroquinerie - 19.04.2007

The Pigeon Detectives passent aux soirées Inrocks Indie Club. Lors de leur précédent passage, ils ouvraient pour Kaiser Chiefs...

The Littl'ans
Paris - Le Showcase - 20.04.2007

Croisés la veille au Inrocks Indie Club,... The Littl'ans passent ce soir au Showcase, boîte un peu trop clean des beaux quartiers...

The Rakes
Paris - Élysée Montmartre - 21.04.2007

The Rakes sont à Paris pour nous présenter (entre autres) la version live de leur nouvel et magnifique album "Ten New Messages" ...

Metroriots
Portsmouth - The Pyramids - 25.04.2007

In the last few months south London based quartet MetroRiots have probably spent more time abroad,... playing to packed venues, than gigging their own country...

Juliette & The Licks
Portsmouth - The Pyramids - 25.04.2007

Juliette And The Licks are Hollywood film star Juliette Lewis and bandmates Ed Davis, Todd Morse, Kemble Walters and Jason Womack...
