Hello faithful readers and newcomers, welcome to our June/ July instalment.
This month, once again, we bring you music news from both sides of the Channel and feeling a little adventurous, as far afield as Sydney, Australia.
Florence ACHERY, forever loyal to the psychedelic/ shoegaze/ experimental scene had the pleasure to interview English band Engineers about their much appreciated come back, Philadelphian Asteroid #4 and Sunsplit as they were travelling the UK and for a complete international feel, Sydney’s The Lovetones over the phone.
But this month started with the most incredible experience. An evening at the Barbican [London venue] dedicated to Syd Barrett.
There is no denying that Mr Barrett has a lot to answer for. You just have to listen to some of the aforementioned bands!
Leo Poli, checking out some of Paris’ most interesting visitors, dusted down his English to chat to The Pigeon Detectives.
He also managed, for our French readers, to report on Interpol, The View and Cold War Kids, the latest being on heavy rotation at Flomotions Tower for the last few months.
Did I also mention that we have an exclusive Asteroid #4 video for you to enjoy? |
